in actuality, it hasn’t been that long (especially in web terms).
it makes me think about how time is so relative - the days and weeks pass so quickly in my point of view. we’ve gotten so much done in such a short period of time.
in the business world, time passes slowly. often, businesses don’t even break even let alone become profitable within the first 5 or so years. suits & sandals has been around for just under 7 months, and we’ve already developed a rather hefty portfolio. there are still big things on the horizon, and we’ve been gaining momentum every day.
this post isn’t just to brag, it’s also to informally announce something kinda cool:
suits & sandals is currently developing a web development framework and template set, which we will release on our new web design/development blog, Hanger Blog.
Hanger Blog will be a place where we talk about web design inspiration, post tutorials on development techniques, and try to help expand and proliferate the remix culture that is the web design community.
we are so close to being done with our website. some last minute debugging and we’ll be ready to input all of our actual content.
the embedded blog is looking fresh ta death. homepage is solid. the rest is cake. luhh.

currently taking a database development class. booklernin’ somethin’ fierce about PHP and MySQL. should be fun.
we’re currently working on our website, and i’m in the middle of styling the version of our tumblr that will be embedded on our website.
so far it’s going pretty well, but i’m having some issues creating header backgrounds for some of the posts. considering tumblr classifies blogposts differently depending on whether it is a text, video, link, etc…there’s no real easy fix for this (at least none i’ve been able to find). i’m sure i’ll get it up and running by the end of the day, though.
for now, i’ve just gotta keep posting new entries…just to make sure it will let me have a pageup/pageback function.
